¥ Shorty II is the 'Colour' version, still beta, sorry.
¥ Shorty III has no moving parts, almost.
Although 2 of the 3 clocks show the time on their screens the best way to get the time and date is to just click on the icon.
and a System Extension ? ( TYPE: appe ).
¥ Shorty V is a System Extension that changes the second and third items of the Applications menu that appears at the top right hand corner. Item 2 will become the Time and item 3 will be the date. I rarely use these items and while writing the other versions of Shorty I was looking for a place to put the time that didn't add to the menubar or clash with the way other items, like screen savers, and this seemed like a good place. So all that happens is that Shorty V keeps changing the text that appears in the menu, if you hold down the Option key and wait a second then the original Menu items will appear. N.B. the items still operate in the same way, it's just the text that is changed.
Before Shorty V it looked like this:

After Shorty V it looks like this:

Early versions of Shorty had an incorrect BNDL resource, no chashes, just messy.
